It is with a heavy heart, that we share the loss of a very dear friend to Special Olympics Calgary.

On October 12, 2015, Moe Fillion lost his short but valiant battle with brain cancer. Moe was the soulmate and loving husband of our Executive Director, Kathy Urquhart. He had a heart of gold and touched many lives, especially those in the Special Olympics community. Moe was an integral part of starting our challenger baseball league, and helping to grow our softball program into what it is today. Many of you will remember Moe from countless special events as the one to hand out the pop, drive the bus, and celebrate with all of the athletes. He touched the hearts of all us and will continue cheering on the athletes from above.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Special Olympics Calgary or to the Rosedale Hospice #1245 – 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8 Telephone: 403- 284 – 5195. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Moe Fillion, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park. See more

At Moe's request, please remember to sign your organ donor card.
