2015 Provincial Winter Games


The 2015 Special Olympics Alberta Provincial Winter Games will be held in Grande Prairie February 20-22, 2015. More than 500 athletes from across the province and the NWT will compete in: Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Snowshoeing and Speed Skating.

TEAM CALGARY will consist of 222 Athletes, 60 Coaches, 6 Mission Staff, and 13 Volunteer support who will be competing in all 7 sports.


Accommodations at Games:
      Team Calgary will be staying in 2 hotels in Grande Prairie – the Pomeroy Inn and Suites and the Super 8

Transportation:
Friday February 20, 2015
Pickup Point:       Deerfoot Mall (901 – 64th Ave NE) West side                                                                                                                           
BUS LEAVES AT 5:30 a.m. SHARP.  BE THERE NO LATER THAN 5:00 a.m.  
                                  NO ACCESS CALGARY DROP OFF

Transportation: Sunday February 22, 2015
Departing: Grande Prairie, AB           Approx: 2:00 p.m. (tentative)
Returning: Calgary, AB                       Deerfoot Mall - Westside) Approx: midnight                                             
                                   NO ACCESS CALGARY PICK UP

Figure Skating  February 21 10 am - 3:30 pm

Floor Hockey  February 21 8:30 am - 4 pm 
                            February 22 9:00 am - 2 pm 

Curling  February 22 9 am – 1:30 pm
